Common Client Pitfalls

  • Phrase queries as requests ("make a website") instead of goals ("increase qualified leads"). This leads to misaligned proposals.
  • Hide stakeholder conflicts. We need to know if Marketing and Product disagree on the primary audience.
  • Withhold budget ranges. A realistic range ($X–$Y) saves days of proposals that won't fit your constraints.
  • Expect immediate visual concepts. Our process is research-first. Wireframes come before high-fidelity mockups.

Assumptions

We assume you have an existing business with measurable goals (e.g., conversion rate, user retention). We work best with teams who can dedicate a single point of contact for feedback and approvals.

Boundaries

  • We do not offer hourly contract work for ongoing maintenance.
  • Projects under €5,000 are generally not a fit due to our research depth.
  • We require a signed NDA before reviewing confidential legacy system code.

What Changes Our View

A pilot user test with a Czech-speaking audience reveals a critical usability flaw in our initial wireframe. This would shift our timeline and scope, prioritizing the fix before visual polish.

Our studio is a 7-minute walk from the Jiřího z Poděbrad metro station (Line A). Trams 5, 9, 15, and 26 stop within a 3-minute walk. Paid parking is available at the Churchill Hotel garage (Záhřebská 6).

Studio Etiquette: Please use the main entrance and ring the bell for "UX Pixo." We have a guest Wi-Fi network available upon arrival. For virtual meetings, we provide a Zoom link that simulates our studio environment.

Local Insight:

For client lunches, we recommend Lokál Dlouhááá for classic Czech cuisine. For a post-call coffee, The Farm Café is our go-to for reliable Wi-Fi and strong espresso.

The 48-Hour Turnaround

It’s Tuesday, 11:00 AM. An email arrives from a Prague-based SaaS product manager. She needs a UI audit before a Q4 board meeting. By Thursday, 11:00 AM, she has a 12-page audit document: prioritized list of 15 critical usability issues, annotated screenshots, and a clear ROI estimate for fixing the top 3. Her follow-up meeting is confident, not exploratory.

We maintain this pace by standardizing our intake. The more clarity you provide upfront, the faster we can identify the real problem.
